CM: Milan have Celtic star and pair of Liverpool targets on €85m defensive wish list

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are currently looking at three possible centre-back options for the summer transfer window, according to a report.

A number of outlets have suggested that the Rossoneri are ready to strengthen their rearguard when the mercato reopens, in particular to try and find a consistent partner for captain Alessio Romagnoli, but also so as not to be caught unprepared should he be sold.

According to the latest from Calciomercato.com, Milan are evaluating three profiles: Kristoffer Ajer from Celtic, Evan N’Dicka from Eintracht Frankfurt and Dayot Upamecano from Leipzig.

It was reported earlier in the month by Tuttosport that Ajer – who has been linked previously in the last year – is still a target for Milan despite Celtic slapping a €30m asking price on the Norwegian.

Meanwhile, last week il Corriere dello Sport reported that Milan are still in for the France U21 international with the Leipzig leadership asking for over €30million, but there has also been rumours of interest from Liverpool and Manchester United.

Finally, N’Dicka is another player the Rossoneri have previously been credited with interest in, and he has also been linked with Liverpool as well as Arsenal amid reports he will cost €25m.
