AC Milan will conduct their summer market looking to build to strongest group for Stefano Pioli with the budget available, but they must also keep an eye on squad list regulations.
Calciomercato.com report how the Rossoneri management are conscious of the fact that in Serie A and the Champions League teams must have a certain amount of academy graduates and homegrown (have come through another Italian academy) players in the squad – namely four of each.
Matteo Gabbia, Davide Calabria and Daniel Maldini will be there to represent the Rossoneri youth sector, and they will be joined by the returning Tommaso Pobega and Alessandro Plizzari but not Lorenzo Colombo (who will leave again on loan).
Sandro Tonali and Alessandro Florenzi (whose permanent stay is increasingly probable) are two homegrown players so the total count reaches seven. The last slot left free by Franck Kessie – who is leaving for Barcelona – plus the departures of Alessio Romagnoli and Antonio Mirante must be filled in order not to have a squad reduced to 24.
Mattia Caldara is out of the project and it is therefore possible that the last player may come from the market, with several useful names like Domenico Berardi, Andrea Belotti and Nicolo Zaniolo linked.
