As Hakan Calhanoglu hasn’t reached his good standards in the last few weeks, the redemption of Brahim Diaz is all the more relevant for Milan. However, they are yet to make a final decision on the Spaniard.
Diaz is currently on loan at the club from Real Madrid and there isn’t a buy-out option in the deal. According to Calciomercato.com, Milan are studying a formula to keep the youngster beyond this season, even if it isn’t on a permanent basis.
With Calhanoglu in decline, and his contract expiring in the summer, the Rossoneri are all the more careful when it comes to having alternatives. The relations with Real Madrid are excellent and they will speak once the big renewals are settled.
A lot will depend on the price tag of the Bernabeu side, who demanded €25m last summer for the outright sale. Paolo Maldini is evaluating the possibility of extending the loan, which could be the right solution.
