CM: Milan could sign Real Madrid playmaker in a Brahim Diaz-esque deal

By Isak Möller -

Arda Güler was heavily linked with AC Milan in the summer but ended up joining Real Madrid instead. Fast forward eight months and the Turkish playmaker could leave the Bernabeu side, with the Rossoneri once again monitoring the situation.

Güler was one of the main transfer battles in the summer of 2023, with Real Madrid coming out on top in the end. They paid €20m to Fenerbahce for his services but this season, also due to a few injuries, he has only made five appearances under Carlo Ancelotti.

According to Calciomercato.com, Güler understandably wants more playing time and Real Madrid know that this must happen too. Therefore, the Spanish side are already studying a loan move for the 19-year-old, hoping that he can continue his development elsewhere.

Milan are watching the situation closely, per the report, and could propose a Brahim Diaz-esque deal to Real Madrid. It worked out brilliantly in that case, with the Rossoneri reaping the rewards for several seasons before sending him back to the Bernabeu side.

The relations between the two clubs are also fantastic, helped by Diaz’s success, so the Rossoneri could perhaps get the first chance to sign Güler on loan (one or two seasons). Geoffrey Moncada and Antonio D’Ottavio wanted him in the summer, as stated, and thus might pounce again.

      1. Have you seen the sh!thousery of his from Madrid? He’s fast becoming “persona non grata” there. Signed for Madrid and his head flew straight into clouds.

        1. I believe the signs were there even before he signed for Madrid. He’s another Popovic. Teenagers who think that they are already superstars and have parents/”entourages” that encourage that behavior. Pass. Also because because there would be no option to sign permanently.

  1. At his age and stage of his career, he should have been more concerned in signing with a team where he would get playing time instead of signing with his favorite team or the better team but sitting on the bench.
If Milan in the deal gets an option to keep him at the right price, with Real Madrid having a high buy back clause, take him, if not move along. Not another Brahim deal where you can buy him for 23 but Real can buy him back at 27.

    1. Diaz was a €10 million player at best. Milan got the better end the deal. He’s not doing anything amazing at Real Madrid.

  2. It’s almost like Milan has become Madrid’s development academy. Not to mention this kid seems like Dybala 2.0 as far as his reliability.

    No Thank You.

      1. He was not cheap. we paid 3.2m for his loan and 4.5M gross in salary (thats total, not per season). Btw his full salary at real (gross) is 7.2M. One of the reasons why Milan decided not to buy this summer.

As far as goals and assists go, if we’d kept Bonaventura he’d produce the same number or even more

    1. You have to look at reality, Milan’s finances is less than half of Madrid’s

Some people just want money to pop out of nowhere, it makes no sense.

  3. I believe the signs were there even before he signed for Madrid. He’s another Popovic. Teenagers who think that they are already superstars and have parents/”entourages” that encourage that behavior. Pass. Also because because there would be no option to sign permanently.

  4. What is the point. So like Diaz we develop them then Real simply buys them back (because unlike us – they HAVE $$$$) and we make a marginal profit (2-4M) – but the player takes time away from one of our young (owned by us) players?? Think bigger. Move on. Focus on developing the talent we have and not another teams talent. Terrible.

  5. If Acmilan want to replace Pioli we should use Motta Thiago as the man he knows how to utilise and get the best from Acmilan we don’t need Conte. Conte pattern is not that useful to Milan

  6. We don’t need him. We aren’t training and grow Madrid players just to return them back this doesn’t benefit us only Madrid so no we don’t need him he’s useless to us
