CM: Milan ‘very optimistic’ as Real Madrid loanee makes stance clear on future

By Isak Möller -

Milan are one step away from playing in the Champions League next season, after two consecutive wins in Turin. Brahim Diaz is one of the players who have stepped up lately and the Rossoneri now want to keep him.

The Spaniard joined on loan from Real Madrid ahead of the season and although he has had ups and downs, his recent performances have really convinced. According to Calciomercato.com, Milan are keen on keeping him beyond this season.

And not only that, the player has made it clear through his entourage that he wants to stay at the club for next season. Diaz feels at home and is eager to play in the Champions League with the Rossoneri, as La Liga can wait.

Real Madrid are still convinced that the No.21 can become something big as they paid Man City €15m plus bonuses despite an expiring contract.  Milan are aware of this and know that an outright purchase is out of the question.

Therefore, their plan is to extend the loan for one more season and also include a buy-out clause in the deal. The mission certainly isn’t easy, but Milan are ‘very optimistic’ as the report describes it.
