Alejandro ‘El Papu’ Gomez is having a good year in Bergamo with Atalanta. He has been scoring, assisting teammates and opponents often do not have an answer for his speed.

Gomez had asked Atalanta to consider Milan’s offer but in the end, Atalanta’s president Percassi did not want to sell his number 10. Gomez still has a contract with Atalanta till 2020.
Atalanta are having a great season so far and are currently ranked 4th in the Serie A standings (tied with Lazio with 22 points). Atalanta’s goal is to resist upcoming offers for some of their brightest youngsters like Conti,Gagliardini,Caldara and Petagna.
Gomez is also a key player for Atalanta as they would like to keep him. This is why they set a high price tag on him: €20million. Montella would take him tomorrow but will Fassone and Mirabelli want to pay this much for El Papu Gomez?
