CM: Rebic will not face fine after reckless red card against Juventus

By Isak Möller -

Ante Rebic’s impressive second half of the season wasn’t resumed in the best way. The Croatian, who before the Coronavirus was one of Milan’s best players, was sent off early on against Juventus.

With the absence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, all the pressure was on Rebic’s shoulders to conquer Juventus and get to the Coppa Italia final. Instead, the Rossoneri lost on away goals and the red card was a major contribution to this.

According to Calciomercato.com, the striker is aware of the mistake he made and the consequences it had on the game. He has apologised to the manager and his teammates, which should be enough in terms of forgiveness.

In fact, as the report continues, Rebic will not face any fines from the club for the behaviour. The challenge was certainly reckless and it did put Milan in a terrible position, but the form Fiorentina man didn’t hit Danilo in the chest on purpose.
