CM: Sales crucial for Milan’s summer – the better they sell, the better they can buy

Now that qualification for the group stage of the next Champions League has been achieved, the AC Milan management can start thinking about the summer window with more certainty.

According to Calciomercato.com, there are as many as four signings that are virtually already completed or are close to being done: Noah Raveyre from Saint-Etienne (free), Marco Sportiello from Atalanta (free), Daichi Kamada from Eintracht Frankfurt (free) and Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea.

Securing Champions League football was crucial because of the revenues it brings. For example, the run to the semi-final this season brought in €135m when adding together prize money and ticket sales.

Around €45-50m of the proceeds will be allocated for the summer transfer window, which therefore promises to start from a monetary base similar to that of the 2022 mercato, but with an important difference.

This time, the proceeds from sales will be added to the budget, and it is therefore imperative to have some exits. Ante Rebic and Divock Origi are expected to leave, so that €45-50m could rise upwards.

This would allow Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara more freedom in signing players that meet Stefano Pioli’s needs on a technical level. In other words, the better Milan sells the better Milan can buy.

    1. Oliver is just asking for it at this point in time. Lol 🤣🤣🤣

Lemme paraphrase: you Maldini fanboys are brainwashed blah blah blah. We didn’t get cent from Kessie, Dollaruma and Snake blah blah blah, that makes him an incompetent director…blah blah blah.

There i’ve saved the comments section alot of headache

  1. €45 – €50 mio for the sales of both Rebic and Origi !!?? You’re extremely optimistic. I wish you were right !

    1. If Rebic goes on free then this is already great! 45-50 is impossible. More like 10 for both and then that would bring 7 saved on their wages, so 17 total.

  2. It is hard to see AC Milan sell player with high amount . Best AC Milan sell only kaka 67 euro to Real Madrid . We are lucky if can sell Rebic + Origi + Junior + Ballo Toure for total 20m euro . If want more budget just sell one of kalulu or tomori to highest bid since it is easy to find defender with free transfer or cheap price for replacement

  3. Only 45-50M available if pretty sad from Redbird. Rebic and Origi if we are lucky will get us 20M after the seasons they both had. Messias, Toure, etc…we are lucky if anyone will take them off our hands. Budget should be 100M if we are serious about building a consistent Scudetto winner and have aspirations to win CL while we still have Theo Leao and Mike – as they won’t stay for long. All are gone in 2 (3 if we are lucky) years max

  4. People need to actually READ the articles and not just look at numbers and then decide for themselves what was meant.

The article did NOT say that 45-50M would be received for sales of Rebic/Origi — that’s the budget they said and that with WHATEVER WE DO GET from those sales would be dded to that 45-50M.
