Renato Sanches has been linked with AC Milan for months but over the last week or so, he has seemingly been closer to a move to Paris Saint-Germain than the Rossoneri. Rumours that, however, have been denied.
Stefano Pioli wants Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara to bring in a midfielder this summer amid the departure of Franck Kessie. He will welcome back Yacine Adli and Tommaso Pobega from loan, but their stay has not been fully guaranteed (loans possible).

In any case, Sanches has been named as the primary target for several months now and as per Calciomercato.com, there was an agreement at €18m plus bonuses with Lille and €3m plus bonuses per year with the player. The ownership change and renewals, though, delayed it all.
Yesterday, Lille’s president denied any contact with PSG over Sanches and also stated that no offer has been made. Whether this is true or just a smoke show, though, remains to be seen although the Sanches optimism has come alive at Milan again.
Per the report, the Rossoneri don’t lack alternatives though as Douglas Luiz (Aston Villa) and Jordan Veretout (Roma) are on their radar as well.
I think with the Botman deal falling through, some of the other ones will surely get re-evaluated. Especially if the idea was to create a 3-5-2 or similar option.
If Douglas Luiz was an option (which I doubt), I’d be surprised if Sanches was first choice, but let’s see what the plan is.
Well I read on goal.com that PSG signed a Portuguese midfielder from Porto for €40m so I don’t know how concrete their interest in Sanches is.
