There has been a clear contrast between the fortunes of AC Milan and Inter players at the 2022 World Cup, a report claims.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Pianeta Milan), there are plenty of players at the World Cup from Inter and Milan who have had a very different experience in Qatar.
For Milan, it has been a great tournament for the likes of Theo Hernandez and Olivier Giroud in the France squad who have played in every game en route to the quarter-finals. Sergino Dest played well for the USA, although Simon Kjaer and Charles De Ketelaere did not play well.
Rafael Leao has not played much for Portugal but has still scored twice.
It has been quite a dramatic time for many Inter players by contrast. Denzel Dumfries has played well for the Netherlands whilst Stefan de Vrij has not impressed.
Andre Onana was sent home from the Cameroon squad whilst Lautaro Martinez has not hit the heights expected for Argentina. Romelu Lukaku played just a handful of minutes as Belgium were knocked out. Marcelo Brozovic is still in the tournament.
