CorSera: €10m demands frighten Milan as Donnarumma saga takes new turn

By Isak Möller -

Gigio Donnarumma is one of the best players in Milan’s squad and it’s no secret that the latter want to keep him for a long time. However, his contract will expire next summer and an agreement is needed for the renewal.

According to Corriere Della Sera (via Milanlive.it), the demands of the goalkeeper are very high, more than expected. Mino Raiola has asked Milan for a renewal worth €10m per year, a frightening figure for the Rossoneri’s coffers.

Paolo Maldini had stopped at the confirmation of the current salary, more specifically €6m per year including bonuses for at least 4-5 seasons. It seemed an agreement was close as well, but Raiola has upped the demands and the saga has taken a new turn.

This situation is, therefore, complicated with Milan always focusing on Gigio’s loyalty. The goalkeeper wants to stay with the Rossoneri for a long time, but such a difference between supply and demand risks blowing the deal.
