CorSera: Ibrahimovic’s family likely to join him as Milan renewal is on the cards

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, at the age of 39, has scored 15 goals in 15 league appearances for Milan and if it hadn’t been for the injuries, he would have had more. Speaking of more, he is destined to stay beyond this season.

As highlighted by Corriere Della Sera this morning (via MilanNews), living alone in Milan hasn’t been easy for the Swede, who has been without his kids and wife. Yesterday, Ibrahimovic couldn’t hold back the tears as he spoke about them.

His kids Maximilian and Vincent, aged 14 and 13, and his wife are thus likely to join him in Milan for what could be the final season in his career. Milan want to renew his contract and the signature isn’t far away, with the salary set to be €7m for one year.

Ibrahimovic will most likely, therefore, play in Serie A at the age of 40 which is stunning. He shouldn’t be ruled out of the World Cup next year either, as his return to the Swedish national team will give the team a big boost in the Euros.
