CorSera: Possibility of Milan-Juventus swap deal involving €75m duo remains open

By Oliver Fisher -

The idea of a potential exchange deal between Juventus and Milan involving Federico Bernardeschi and Lucas Paqueta remains alive, a report claims.

Di Marzio stated on Friday night that the Paquetà-Bernardeschi exchange is actually more than just paper talk, describing it as “a possible option”, before Juve director Fabio Paratici essentially took Bernardeschi off the market not long after.

Despite this, TMW reported that Milan would welcome Bernardeschi, something intermediaries and the Italian’s entourage are already aware of, with the Bianconeri interested in Paqueta too – hinting a possible swap is not completely off the card.

According to il Corriere della Sera – as cited by MilanNews.it – despite the denials the possibility of a Paqueta-Bernardeschi exchange between Milan and Juventus remains open up until the last day of the winter market.

The paper explains that the Brazilian’s position remains in the balance and his agent is still in Milan waiting for any news, and it may well be that the Rossoneri need to find a quick temporary solution to help the 22-year-old in a delicate moment.

Paqueta cost Milan €35m when he arrived from Flamengo a year ago, while Bernardeschi joined Juve for €40m back in summer 2017 (as per Wiki).
