As Hakan Calhanoglu hasn’t accepted the renewal offer on the table, Milan could be forced to look for another playmaker this summer. Atalanta are reportedly ready to accelerate for one of the Rossoneri’s targets.
Back in April, Calciomercato.com reported that Milan are keeping tabs on the Belgian starlet Charles De Ketelaere plays. The Club Brugge playmaker scored five goals and assisted an additional eight this past season, impressing many.
According to Corriere Dello Sport, as cited by MilanLive, Atalanta are also very interested in the 20-year-old and could accelerate their pursuit. The Belgian side are asking for €10m, but the Bergamo side would like to pay less.
The solution could be to include bonuses to limit the immediate spending, but their will is to close quickly to avoid the competition from other clubs. Meanwhile, Milan are seemingly focusing on other targets and also need to solve the Calhanoglu dilemma.

One of those players who will likely flourish and develop into something great… if he goes to Atalanta
Agreed. Him and Lonkongo are two top Belgian talents that are at reasonable costs that we should get…but I’m sure we won’t lol. That’s why Atalanta has been better than us the last 5-6 years or so…
Double it. It’s absolutely worth it.
