CorSport: Ibrahimovic will earn at least €7m in new Milan deal – details on bonuses

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is expected to remain at Milan beyond this season as a new contract is just an announcement away. The red card last night, which wasn’t justified, won’t stop the Rossoneri from fulfilling their initial plans.

The 39-year-old has scored 15 goals in 17 league appearances this season and last night, he added an assist to his name (2 in total). It’s hard to deny his importance in this team and given that he’s still playing well, Milan want to keep him.

According to Corriere Dello Sport, as cited by Calciomercato.com, the parties are just details away from reaching an agreement on a new deal. Ibrahimovic will keep the fixed part of his current salary, which is €7m, but there are also some bonuses.

The bonuses are linked to appearances and goals scored next season, which could see the Swede earn more than €7m. As the Rossoneri are closing in on a Champions League return, it’s an opportunity that both parties can’t pass up.
