CorSport: Leonardo wants reunion with Milan star Paqueta at PSG

By Oliver Fisher -

Paris Saint-Germain have once again been linked with a move for AC Milan star Lucas Paqueta by reports in the media.

The Rossoneri have undergone a major overhaul off the field this summer, during which sporting director Leonardo left the club to return to PSG.

New head coach Marco Giampaolo has arrived meanwhile and made five signings so far: namely Theo Hernandez, Rade Krunic, Rafael Leao, Ismael Bennacer and Leo Duarte.

Meanwhile, recent reports in the media have suggested that the Gianluigi Donnarumma saga is ready to get back underway following the sale of Kevin Trapp from PSG to Eintracht Frankfurt.

It is believed that should the Parisians offload Neymar – most likely to either Barcelona or Real Madrid – then they will make a fresh attempt to land Milan’s prized stopper.

However, Donnarumma is not the only player that Leonardo seemingly wants to bring with him to the French capital.

According to il Corriere dello Sport, he wants to take his compatriot Paqueta to the Parc des Princes, after he signed the player from Flamengo.

The 21-year-old arrived at Milan for a €35million fee in January, amassing one goal and one assist in Serie A across 13 appearances.

“It’s [the links with PSG] only speculation, he told Goal.

“I’m happy at Milan, I’ve just arrived and I’m adapting. I want to have a good season so I can grow in my career.”
