CorSport: Milan and their French brilliance – from Maignan’s saves to Giroud’s goals

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan have just eight games left to play in the league and they are currently three points ahead of Napoli, who are in second. The Rossoneri have their French players to thank for the recent success.

Stefano Pioli’s men have the Scudetto race in their hands and they face yet another important test against Bologna on Monday evening. There will be over 65k fans at the San Siro and the pressure will thus be on them to win.

As highlighted by Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan have their French players to thank for the recent success. ‘Oui, je suis il Diavolo,’ their headline read, later adding that the Rossoneri have a French soul in this team.

Mike Maignan has made some really good saves in the last few games and Milan’s attack, as well as defence, has been massively helped by Theo Hernandez. The same can be said for Pierre Kalulu, who has exploded recently, while Olivier Giroud has bagged some very decisive goals.
