CorSport: Milan in contact with Real Madrid coach Ancelotti over Diaz operation

By Isak Möller -

Milan are keen on securing the services of Brahim Diaz for at least one more season, after what was an impressive ending to the last one. Negotiations are ongoing with Real Madrid and there is great optimism.

According to Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri are in direct contact with Carlo Ancelotti, the new Real Madrid manager. Of course, he used to be at Milan and his consent to the move will really facilitate the operation.

The Bernabeu side’s request for the buy-out clause, which Paolo Maldini wants to include in the loan, is about €20-25m. And after a few years spent between Manchester, Madrid and Milan, Diaz himself wants more stability and is in favour of the move.

It remains to be seen if Milan and Real Madrid will be able to reach an agreement, which shouldn’t be an issue since the relations are great. Anything can happen on the market, though.
