CorSport: Milan to focus on renewals of key quartet after Donnarumma and Calhanoglu – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will soon get to work tackling the contract situations of four players set to expire in 2022, according to a report.

The Rossoneri management will be wary of avoiding a similar situation to the one they are currently facing regarding Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu – two players who are key to the team but have been allowed to get within six months of their contract expiry.

According to il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), as soon as the renewals of those players expiring on June 30 have been fixed, Milan will immediately have to get to work on the extensions of those who have a deal until 2022.

The quartet in question are Alessio Romagnoli, Davide Calabria, Simon Kjaer and Franck Kessie. The paper writes that contacts with the agents of Calabria and Kessie have already begun, but there is no news regarding the future of the captain. The Dane meanwhile has already expressed his desire to end his career at Milan.
