CorSport: Positive updates arrive regarding Milan’s injury situation – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

Stefano Pioli should soon be able to welcome back another important member of his squad as AC Milan move closer towards full fitness at last.

Today’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanLive) takes stock of the injury situation at Milan, confirming that Ismael Bennacer and Hakan Calhanoglu – who have been training in the group – will soon be ready to return to action soon and be part of the starting line-up.

Not only that, but Spanish playmaker Brahim Diaz will also be back with the group soon, the paper claims. The 21-year-old has overcome his muscular problems and should therefore should be called up for Sunday’s match against Crotone.

Simon Kjaer will have a new check-up during the week to evaluate his recovery times after sustaining another thigh muscle problem, and he will join fellow centre-back Matteo Gabbia in the treatment room for the time being, it is anticipated.
