CorSport: Raiola’s requests make Donnarumma renewal impossible for Milan at present

By Oliver Fisher -

The agent of AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma – Mino Raiola – is reportedly set to ask for a pay rise if his client is to extend his deal.

Milan will face a dilemma in the near future as their prized young goalkeeper has a contract which expires in 2021, a situation they seemingly intend to resolve before the end of the season when he will enter the final year of the deal.

Il Corriere dello Sport reported in November that Juventus are keeping an eye on the situation, but that Donnarumma’s love for the club gives Milan hope they can find an agreement with Raiola.

Sportitalia’s Alfredo Pedulla then stated back on December 10 that there have been in-depth talks between Milan and Gigio Donnarumma over his renewal, but the two parties seem to be no closer to an agreement, with Juve again linked.

According to the latest from il Corriere dello Sport – as cited by Calciomercato.com – Milan are trying to address the issue of Donanrumma’s renewal but it will not be straightforward at all.

In fact, the Rome-based newspaper adds that Raiola asks for an increase in his salary compared to the current €6m-a-year net, something which ‘seems impossible’ on Milan’s end.
