CorSport: Roma schedule summit with Zaniolo’s agent amid Milan and Juve interest

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are looking to sign an attacking midfielder/right-winger this summer and Nicolo Zaniolo has been mentioned as a target. And a summit is imminent to decide the youngster’s future, a report claims.

The 22-year-old’s contract will expire in 2024 and Roma are looking to renew his contract. According to Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews), a summit has been scheduled between the Giallorossi and Zaniolo’s agent between today and tomorrow.

The future will be addressed and there are two possible outcomes: a renewal or a sale. Roma have slapped a price tag of €50-60m on the star and that makes a departure difficult, although Milan and Juventus are watching on with interest.

Zaniolo, per the report, would prefer to join Milan and Juventus but a renewal cannot be excluded either. He has previously made it known that he prefers the 4-3-3 or the 4-2-3-1 rather than the 3-5-2 Jose Mourinho uses at Roma.
