Talks are still ongoing between AC Milan and star winger Suso over a new deal, according to a report.
Since November, the Spaniard has only scored a goal and assisted another, suffering somewhat of a slump in his attacking output in recent months despite the team surging up the table.
Despite this, many still consider Suso to be the Rossoneri’s most creative outlet, and there have been rumours since the start of the season that the club want to tie him down to a new deal.
According to a report from il Corriere dello Sport on Thursday, the former Liverpool man is looking for a new contract, and has no intentions of leaving San Siro any time soon.
However, there is still distance between the two parties over the terms, with the player’s entourage looking for €5million-a-year and the the club only willing to go up to €4m/yr.
Director Leonardo is also believed to be somewhat paranoid about Suso’s €40m release clause amid reported interest from Spurs and Arsenal.
