Alessandro Costacurta has claimed that he has received no contact from former team-mate Paolo Maldini about a role at AC Milan.
The Rossoneri are undergoing a revolution off the pitch this summer, with Marco Giampaolo set to be named as the new head coach and Frederic Massara the new sporting director.
Reports had indicated that Maldini was considering bringing Costacurta back to San Siro as a ‘team manager’ – the role that Christian Abbiati last held.
“Contact with Maldini over a role? No contact,” Costacurta revealed to Rai Radio Uno.
“There is a fraternal relationship between me and Paolo, but he knows that I would not take certain roles. Boban? If it’s true then it means that they’ve made a very correct choice.
“Giampaolo? He’s an interesting prospect. At Milano they want to see this new idea of football that everyone is expressing a bit, an offensive and pleasant game. He is the right choice, I hope he’ll sign.”
