While waiting to hear from AC Milan about his future, it seems that a move to Mexico has become an option for Luka Jovic.
It was a very strange 2024-25 season for Jovic, who for large parts was an afterthought but then rose to prominence with the arrival of Sergio Conceicao. A January exit seemed nailed on but he remained and became the starter.

He scored some important goals too, above all a brace in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final against Inter, to secure a 3-0 win on the night. The Serbian then earned a starting spot for the final, but ultimately disappointed in the last few games including the game in Rome.
Jovic: Future unknown
At present, Jovic’s deal is set to expire, but Milan hold the cards. When the former Real Madrid man penned his last contract, the Rossoneri also added a 1+1+1 extension clause in the deal, and that means they can trigger an option.

However, Jovic is believed to want more security and La Gazzetta dello Sport reported a few weeks ago that he wants at least a two-year deal. The arrival of Igli Tare and Massimiliano Allegri further shakes things up.
According to Sky, Cruz Azul are making an attempt for Jovic. Contacts have been initiated between the Mexican club and the player’s entourage, but actually already begun last month in a meeting between the Mexican club’s emissaries and the striker’s agents.

the way things are going we will sell him for a bottle of coca-cola
Wouldn’t that be more than what Milan paid to get him? Capital gains!
Jovic should be sold and gimenez should be given be given a chance
Definitely sell. I would rather have Roberto Piccoli or Lorenzo Luca.
We can’t sell him. It’s either let him go or renew.
Unless you really want to p!ss the player off by forcing a renewal and then sell anyway.
That would seem a low act for the service he has given.
