Data reveals the fastest Milan players against Spezia – one surprise on the list

By Isak Möller -

Milan continued their winning streak on Sunday evening, beating Spezia by three goals to nil at the San Siro. Despite a slow first half, the Rossoneri got the job done and also secured a nice scoreline.

Rafael Leao bagged a brace and Theo Hernandez scored after a lovely run down the left-hand side in the game. The two also topped another list, as revealed by Lega Serie A on their website, namely the list of fast sprints.

The fastest, as you would expect, was Theo Hernandez who reached 34.75 km/h (unknown if it was the goal run). Alexis Saelemaekers (31.84) and Leao (31.81) completed the top three but there was another surprise on the list.

Hakan Calhanoglu wasn’t far behind with 31.71, which might come as a surprise as fans often regard him as slow and sluggish. The Turk, however, usually works hard and often gets praise for exactly that, his work-rate, and his attacking contributions.
