Deulofeu linked with AC Milan return in January

By Fred Ilondo -

After amassing four goals and three assists in 18 appearances with AC Milan last season, Gerard Deulofeu was bought back by Barcelona, his former club. Now it is reported that the Spaniard could make his return to the Rossoneri.

According to Catalan paper Sport, AC Milan will request the player on loan in the January window and the winger would not reject a chance to make a return to the San Siro.

Deulofeu, in fact, has two assists in five games with the La Liga giants so far this season but Valverde’s recent system swap has forced the Spaniard out of Barcelona XI.

The former Everton man also managed to make return to Spanish national team during his six-month spell at the San Siro and believes he’d have more game time there than in Barcelona. With the world cup approaching, a move in January could be crucial.

The report also states that Deulofeu could be a potential replacement for Suso. The former Liverpool winger is reportedly not happy with Vincenzo Montella’s new system and is being linked with a move to Real Madrid in January.

Suso has a €40million release clause, whilst Deulofeu’s is set in the region of €20million.
