Di Marzio: AC Milan chase €25m-rated Leipzig star Forsberg

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been linked with a number of blockbuster signings this summer already, with names such as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and James Rodriguez being discussed recently.

Now, according to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky, there is a new name in the list of Milan’s goals to strengthen the team.

It is Emil Forsberg, one of the stars of a young RasenBallsport Leipzig team which qualified for the Champions League in their first ever Bundesliga season.

The player is valued by the German club €25million, but the Rossoneri are not willing to pay that much, according to the report.

In the meeting held on Friday in Milan between the Rossoneri leadership and the agent Petralito (intermediary for German clubs), who was also a director of Leipzig, there was also talk of Forsberg.

The Sweden international was hugely impressive for Leipzig this season, amassing a combined 30 goals and assists in 30 Bundesliga games.

Reports claim that there was also discussion about Aubameyang with Petralito, and Premium Sport claim on Friday evening that Milan received “positive signals” from the meeting.
