The news broke yesterday that PSG and Milan had started negotiations over Gigio Donnarumma. Tonight, there was an update on the story.
Gianluca Di Marzio reported on Thursday night’s Calcio Mercato L’Originale that Milan have decided to sacrifice Gigio Donnarumma to comply with Financial Fair Play. After the first contacts were initiated on Wednesday, Milan and PSG have continued the contacts.
PSG sporting director, and ex-Milan sporting director, Leonardo has made it clear that he wants to bring the goalkeeper to France as his first signing on the job, which explains the urgency. Donnarumma, however, has not asked for a sale, but he understands that he might have to leave for FFP reasons.
At the moment, PSG value Alphonse Areola at €30m, while Milan value him at less. Same goes for Donnarumma, but the other way round. The clubs are, therefore, looking to find an agreement on the valuations of the players.
If they can get 30+ million and Paredes it would be a good deal. Hopefully we won’t get Areola in any kind of deal.
