Di Marzio: Milan reach agreement with Real Madrid over playmaker – transfer imminent

By Isak Möller -

Milan have made it clear that they need to reinforce the midfield, and not just the defensive parts of it. We are now starting to see this with all the rumours emerging and one player is nearing a move, a report claims.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the track leading to Brahim Diaz is heating up and the operation is moving forward quickly. In fact, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have made concrete progress in the negotiations with Real Madrid.

The two clubs have reached an agreement on the transfer, per the report, and only the player’s ok is missing to complete the deal. This should arrive in the next few hours, though, meaning it shouldn’t stop the transfer from taking place.

The 21-year-old can play on both sides of the attacking trio, being two-footed, and can also act as a backup for the trequartista spot. It would certainly be an interesting player to see in Serie A.
