CorSport: In-form Diaz is at the centre of Milan’s project as Real Madrid watch on

By Isak Möller -

Brahim Diaz was signed by AC Milan on a two-year loan from Real Madrid this summer, after what was a successful one-year loan at the club. He has started this season even better, with three goals and one assist.

As highlighted by today’s edition of Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Diaz is at the centre of Milan’s youth project. The new No.10 has become a point of reference for Stefano Pioli, who isn’t exactly missing Hakan Calhanoglu.

After a season between the pitch and the bench, Diaz is now playing with great continuity and he’s making a difference in the trequartista role. In other words, he’s repaying the trust of the management and Pioli.

As said, he has three goals and one assist already and the feeling is that it can only get better from here. This afternoon, though, he will be rested against Spezia as Daniel Maldini will make his first league start for the Rossoneri.
