Donadoni confirms Fiorentina star is a Milan target: “He has great room for growth”

Milan are looking to improve their attacking department ahead of next season, having struggled to convert their chances lately. Several players have been linked with them, but one man sticks out: Dusan Vlahovic.

The Serbian striker has had a very good season with Fiorentina, bagging 12 goals and one assist in 26 league appearances. He has been especially good recently, showing his qualities and also cementing his spot in the starting eleven.

In an interview with Gazzetta Dello Sport, as cited by Calciomercato.com, Milan legend Roberto Donadoni was asked about Vlahovic and his qualities. He confirmed that the striker is indeed a target of the Rossoneri.

“Vlahovic is one of the most interesting young players in our league, he has great room for growth. Yes, he is a Milan target,” he stated.

It remains to be seen if Milan will proceed with their interest this summer or perhaps wait one more year. Vlahovic’s contract will expire in 2023 and it could be more beneficial to sign him in 2022, also because Zlatan Ibrahimovic will stay for next season.
