Donnarumma assures Milan ‘are in a good mood’ ahead of important Bologna clash

By Isak Möller -

In less than 30 minutes, Milan will take on Bologna in the 20th round of Serie A, hoping to bounce back from two consecutive defeats. Gigio Dinnarumma, who was suspended against Inter, is back in the starting eleven.

The No.99 has been very important for the Rossoneri this season and although Ciprian Tatarusanu did very well in the derby, Stefano Pioli will be happy to have his star back. After all, today is a must-win to maintain the squad confidence.

In an interview with Sky Italia, as cited by MilanNews, Donnarumma spoke about the situation and the game today. He also commented on Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s red card mid-week, convinced that he will bounce back today.

On the moment…

“We are focused, we are in a good mood, we want to restart, do well and win this match.”

On Ibrahimovic…

“He is always very calm, I expect him to play as he knows how to do, he is absolutely not upset by what happened in the derby, these things happen on the pitch. I’m convinced that he will do very well today.”

Donnarumma’s contract will expire in the summer and there have been many rumours regarding his future. On our podcast, we spoke to Fabrizio Romano about it. The goalkeeper, though, made it clear Milan is his sole focus.

On the personal moment…

“I play for Milan, to win this match. I always do my best, I always do what the coach asks, I always give everything for the team and for my teammates.”
