Donnarumma to sack Mino Raiola?

By SempreMilan -

According to reports from SportItalia, there exists a possibility that the young goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma could change his agent, Mino Raiola, following the tumultuous summer transfer window the player experienced.

Mino Raiola has been the centre of controversy after guiding the 18 year old Italian international to stall a contract extension during the summer transfer window after publicly voicing his lack of confidence in the new Milan project.

What transpired was a drawn out saga which eventually resulted in Donnarumma signing a contract to become the league’s highest-earning goalkeeper.

Nevertheless, Raiola became public enemy number one for the Rossoneri, with repeated back-and-forth exchanges between the ‘super agent’ and Milan management a common occurrence since the closing of the renewal deal.

This has caused Donnarumma’s family to disprove of Raiola’s style of management, leading to a possible change in his representative at the end of the season.

Sportitalia reports that the changes to Donnarumma’s representation will not happen in the near future, as the goalkeeper is seeking to focus on the season at hand. With a goalkeeper berth to fight for at the 2018 World Cup, and Milan’s ambitious targets both on the domestic and continental front, Donnarumma will look to avoid a repeat of the controversy and drama that surrounded him during the summer.
