Empoli President Fabrizio Corsi has been speaking to Sportitalia about midfielder Riccardo Saponara.

The patron explained that “It’s our intention to sell him to a big club. We have to work to get the right situation but we are not in a hurry.”

When it was suggested to him that Milan and Inter were the two clubs he was referring to he replied:

“He is a player who would be an asset for both these clubs but nothing is concrete at the moment.

“We will have to see what happens on the transfer market.”
