Eurosport: Tottenham join race for €50m-rated Milan star amid Arsenal and Chelsea links

By Oliver Fisher -

Another suitor from England has come forward in the race to sign Franck Kessie from AC Milan in Tottenham, according to a report.

Milan want to hold on to Kessie who has become one of the pillars of Pioli’s team. Negotiations over the renewal of his contract – expiring in 2022 – have already started, but at the moment there is a distance between the demand and the offer.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) recently reported that Kessie’s market value has risen to €50m or more, with several English clubs – Arsenal above all – interested in the player. Meanwhile, PianetaMilan write Kessie is in the orbit of Chelsea as the ideal replacement for N’Golo Kante should the midfielder be sold.

According to the latest from Eurosport, Tottenham Hotspur are the third London club who are serious about their interest in signing the Ivorian and are ‘exploring the possibility’ of signing him. Spurs are monitoring the situation closely and could launch a bid if the midfielder changes his current stance, which is that he wants to stay at Milan and renew.

    1. Unfortunately, 1 year contract remaining could give us 10-15 million max. Only signing a new contract for 4-5 years would work in this scenario.

      1. Sell kessie, Leo, hauge.
keep pobega, get Kamara from OM.
Use the money to get insigne, pessina/a no 10, berardi.
Ditch Ogirould, if anyone comes for theo, sell him for a profit. (End of the day, Elliott has no ambition). And you have Samu and krunic for all possible backups
