Riechedly Bazoer has recently been linked with a row of European clubs, despite not being able to show his bright side this season at Ajax. Could the midfielder be a potential bargain for Montella’s Milan?
Ajax are known for constantly producing talented players, year in and year out. However, this also leads to complications for some young prospects. One of them being 20-year-old Bazoer, who plays as a holding midfielder. The youngster has struggled to find a place in the starting eleven this season, due to the depth of Ajax’ squad, much unlike AC Milan’s. In other words, the Rossoneri are desperate to sign backup players this January, while Ajax would be happy to offload some?

Ajax are indeed willing to listen to offers this January, according to our sources. Bazoer has not lived up to his potential this season which has lead to his price decreasing massively. When in form, he is a fantastic player, and experts believe he’s still got it in him, meaning he could be a bargain for a team such as Milan. In fact, Ajax rejected a bid valued at 50 million euros (25m in bonuses) for the midfielder. Now, however, he could go for as little as 15 million euros (+ bonuses).

Despite this, Montella is not after a young midfielder, but instead an experienced one that could help with the development of Locatelli, like Abbiati did with Donnarumma.
At the moment, Fabregas, followed by Badelj, are topping Montella’s January wish list, but it’s possible that AC Milan could sign one for the future, such as Bazoer for the right price.
