Earlier today, Milan’s CEO Marco Fassone spoke to MilanTV about the Rossoneri’s transfer market, which has included ten signings already.
Regarding Bonucci, Fassone said that: “I was very sceptical at first because it was a crazy idea so we didn’t even want to try. Then, Montella convinced us to go after Leonardo. Therefore, we started the negotiations, which you all know went very fast.
“It is an important sign to see that players who have Champions League are willing to move to us. Bonucci will be very good for the future. Leo is a warrior and a leader and will give us a lot, both on and off the pitch.”
On the budget for the transfer market: “We are very fortunate to be in China, as we will take stock of the ownership to understand the resources, which are not unlimited. We must speak with the coach also because the next two friendlies will give technical indications to him and Mirabelli.”
On the targets for the attack: “We will focus more on this once we’re back in Italy. There have been many names and strong strikers. It would be nice to have one of Belotti, Morata or Aubameyang. However, we are also considering other names that are not publicised.”
