Father of Milan striker claims €20m Spurs, Arsenal midfield target is on transfer list

The father of striker Krzysztof Piatek has seemingly let the cat out of the bag by admitting four AC Milan players are on the transfer list.

We reported via our mercato expert Vito Angele earlier on Thursday that Milan are experiencing a stalemate at the moment with regards to the mercato, due to their failure to find new clubs for Lucas Paqueta, Krzysztof Piatek and Suso.

However, the comments from Piatek’s father have now confirmed that the Rossoneri are looking to ship out a number of players between now and the end of the window, with his son being one of them.

“Kris wants to reach Euro 2020 in good shape and that means he can’t be a reserve sitting on the bench, but wants to be a regular starter,” Wladyslaw Piatek told Sportowefakty (via Football Italia).

“If he can’t do that at Milan, then he’ll gladly do it elsewhere. He is on the transfer market in January, just like Lucas Paqueta, Suso and Hakan Calhanoglu.”

The Daily Express are reporting that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is targeting a loan move for Calhanoglu, while Aksam (via FCInterNews.it) reported earlier on Thursday that Spurs have set their sights on the former Bayer Leverkusen man as a replacement for Christian Eriksen.

Paqueta continues to be linked with a move to PSG and has asked to be left out of Friday’s squad to face Brescia, as per multiple outlets, while no offers have arrived for Suso according to CorSera.
