Alessandro Florenzi came off the bench in AC Milan’s win over Atletico Madrid on Wednesday, putting in a decent display. By the looks of it, he could soon get the chance from the first minute.
The versatile Italian, who’s on loan from Roma (option to buy included), replaced Pierre Kalulu in the 66th minute of the game. He did well and got a 6.5/10 in our player ratings, mostly helping Milan keep the defence tight.
According to the latest reports from MilanNews, Florenzi’s chances of playing from start are increasing. Stefano Pioli was left impressed by how he took on the task against Atletico Madrid and he could soon start the 30-year-old in the RB spot.
It must be said, however, that Kalulu has also done very well as of late. The youngster was confident against Atleti and made his way forward several times. He’s not as experienced as Florenzi, though.
