AC Milan are closing in on a move for Real Madrid full-back Theo Hernandez despite interest from two other clubs, a report claims.
The Real Madrid owned left-back spent last season on loan at Real Sociedad ranks and, along with another Rossoneri target in Dani Ceballos, has been put on the transfer list by Zidane.
We recently revealed that Milan have placed an offer of a season-long loan with an option to buy set at €15-18 million for Hernandez, who could replace Ricardo Rodriguez as the starting left-back under Marco Giampaolo.
Now, according to a report in Marca, the former Atletico Madrid youth player is close to agreeing a move to the Rossoneri.
They report that Madrid prefer the idea of Hernandez either leaving on a two-year loan deal – like the one offered by Paolo Maldini and co. – or on a permanent deal with a repurchase option.
Los Blancos paid a reported €30m to poach him from their city rivals but Hernandez started just ten La Liga matches in his first season.
Real will apparently look to recoup the fee they forked out, but Napoli and Bayer Leverkusen are also credited with interest in the 21-year-old.
Welcome to Milan Theo Hernandez
