From Spain: Opening for Milan as Real Madrid place Brahim Diaz on loan list

Brahim Diaz could stay at Milan for at least one more season, following what was a successful ending to this past one. While he struggled for playing time throughout the term, he shined when it mattered.

According to ABC Deportes, Real Madrid have placed the 21-year-old on the loan list, ready to part ways with him temporarily once again. There were doubts about his future when Real Madrid announced Carlo Ancelotti as their new coach, but no more.

One can only assume that Milan are in pole position to secure his services. The Rossoneri were very happy with the season of Diaz and the player himself also seemed to enjoy life in Italy, making the move very likely.

It’s a good addition to Stefano Pioli’s squad especially since Hakan Calhanoglu could leave the club for free later this month. If that happens, then Paolo Maldini will have to sign yet another trequartista.
