As expected, it has been a relatively quiet international break for AC Milan, especially given the 3-3 draw against Cagliari. Today, however, an update on the mercato front has arrived which will make some fans happy.
Indeed, Gazzetta dello Sport states that Brahim Diaz could be an option for the club in January, having dropped down the pecking order at Real Madrid. He has already played three season with the Rossoneri, of course, and certainly feels at home at Milanello.
In addition to this, the newspaper also highlighted the competitive nature of this season in Serie A. As we discussed in our latest newsletter, this is a frustrating topic for Milan given the position in the standings and evident struggles on the pitch.
Today’s headlines in Gazzetta dello Sport
The front page
🙌 “Serie A has never been so competitive in the three points per win era.”
🏆 “More people in the stands. Sacchi: ‘Napoli, Inter, Atalanta and Juve will battle it out’.”

👀 “Brahim, what an idea. At Real Madrid, he doesn’t play much and the Milan hypothesis is always open.”
🏠 “He has already been at Milan for three seasons and feels at home.”
Come home, my boy!
Brahim, Reijnders, Fofana trio is a sight I wanna see. And maybe this will give also Tonali an idea for a potential return.
For subs Zeroli, Musah, Bennacer (he’s also questionable if he can make a comeback) aren’t enough though. 1 CM is still needed, and I think Frendrup is a must. Last Scandinavian CDM we were linked with, turned into a world-class player at sporting.
