Gallery: ‘Draw for Milan’, ‘Milan aim to overtake’ – Today’s front pages of Italian papers

By Isak Möller -

As a result of Inter’s draw against Napoli last night, AC Milan have the opportunity to move into first place with a win vs. Sampdoria today. Naturally, the Italian papers focused on this matter on their front pages.

It should be noted that Inter have a game in hand and thus the Rossoneri would be first ‘temporarily’. Either way, it would put great pressure on the Nerazzurri to get back to winning ways after two games without one.

On their front page, Gazzetta Dello Sport wrote the following: “Hot head. Inter resist in Naples, today Milan aim to overtake. And the Devil’s dream. San Siro, 12.30: the Giroud-Leao-Diaz trio against Sampdoria. The Rossoneri welcome back Tomori”.

Tuttosport had a similar headline: “It’s a draw for Milan. Spalletti fails the overtaking operation, which today can be snatched by the Rossoneri against Sampdoria”. Corriere Dello Sport wrote the following: “It doesn’t end here. Today against Sampdoria, Giroud and Milan for overtaking”.
