Former AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has spoken ahead of the clash against his new club, Monza, detailing how he has invited the Rossoneri’s management to dinner.
Few people know more of the successes that Milan experienced at their height than Galliani, the club’s former CEO, and for this reason, he could be the perfect inspiration for the current management. At present, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paolo Scaroni and Giorgio Furlani are facing scrutiny due to the Rossoneri’s current situation.
The Diavolo sit 11 points behind the league leaders, and in a season which had to be better than the last, it seems the club have taken a step backwards.
Therefore, a meeting with Galliani could be helpful to steer the club back on track, and the former CEO’s words to Gazzetta dello Sport have been relayed by Milan Press.
“Will I try to stay put in the event of a Monza goal? I will try. It will be an exciting match. I’ve invited Paolo Scaroni, Giorgio Furlani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to dinner at the stadium before the match for a risotto alla… monzese.”
Even if Galliani is no longer part of the current Milan management, his feelings towards the clubs have not died down, as was revealed last week when he discussed Inter’s ‘interest’ in Daniel Maldini, and this showed in this interview as well.
“I didn’t watch the second half [of last year’s 4-2 win] because of emotion. I went to my sister’s house: she and I locked in the kitchen and drank hot tea. This year I took the whole family away from the stadium in Verona after the first half [Monza’s 3-0 win].
