AC Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso spoke to Milan TV on Monday, discussing the trouble from the loss this past weekend vs. Napoli, and the upcoming game on Friday against Roma.
“We troubled Napoli and dominated the match for almost an hour. Then, after conceding the first goal we dropped our game and this is our biggest regret,” Rino began
“We have to work on our mentality and manage the different situations of the game better. We are a strong team, we need to correct some mistakes but we need time, although we don’t have much.
“We are a team that involves all its players when possessing the ball, not only Biglia. The first goal we conceded it’s not only a mistake from Lucas. Musacchio could have passed the ball back.
“Mistakes can happen, we are just at the start. What matters most is that the team learns to handle the match situations better.
“Higuain? I am very pleased with his performance. He should have had more support. He deserves credit for both goals we scored because he moved very well.”
On Friday’s game against Roma: “We need to prepare well for AS Roma because they are a very tough team.
“We need to repeat the positive things we did at Napoli, which are many, because not every team goes to the San Paolo and play the way we did, with courage. Of course, we need to correct the things that didn’t work out.”
