GdS: A potential €40m boost to the transfer kitty – the latest on Milan’s six loanees

By Oliver Fisher -

It is coming to that time of the season where planning has begun for the next campaign and the management must make decisions on certain players.

La Gazzetta dello Sport takes a look at the players who are currently on loan from Milan to other clubs, and the possibility of any of them returning and being part of the plans for the 2021-22 campaign.

A “treasure” of nearly €40million could be raised from the sale of the players who are on loan, starting with Tommaso Pobega. Spezia can buy him outright for €2.2m but Milan have a buy-abck at €2.4m that they can exercise immediately.

Parma, in the case that they survive relegation, are obliged to keep Andrea Conti by paying €7m to the Rossoneri, while Cremonese have no option to buy for Lorenzo Colombo.

Leo Duarte is currently at Istanbul Basaksehir and if they were to sign him outright, Milan would receive a figure of €5-6m. Finally, Mattia Caldara is currently on loan at Atalanta who are unlikely to pay the €16m option to keep him and Celtic are also unlikely to pay the €9m needed for Laxalt.
