Suso staying at AC Milan does not exclude the signing of Angel Correa from Atletico Madrid, according to a report.
A lot of the speculation this summer so far has been surrounding the Spaniard despite his impressive displays in preseason, including Saturday’s win over Feronikeli in Kosovo.
Lyon, Roma and Fiorentina have all been credited with interest in Suso as Milan have apparently set an asking price of €35million, but Marco Giampaolo wants to keep him.
Reports on Tuesday suggested that he will stay regardless of Angel Correa’s imminent arrival, and his agent met with the club earlier in the week to iron out his client’s future.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan told Alessandro Lucci – Suso’s representative – that he is important to the project and that they are not looking to sell him.
However this does not rule out the signing of Correa as previously anticipated, nor does the difficulty found in selling Andre Silva.
Steps forward have been taken on the Correa front, with Atletico Madrid now more willing to co-operate due to their own desire to fund a €60m move for Valencia’s Rodrigo.
