GdS: AC Milan’s probable XI for SPAL clash – Duarte at RB, Suso dropped

By Isak Möller -

Following the defeat against Roma last weekend, Stefano Pioli is expected to make a few significant changes to the line-up for Thursday’s mid-week game. The Rossoneri will take on SPAL, looking to grab the three points this time.

As reported by today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanEye on Twitter), the manager could make a total of four changes, bringing in Duarte, Bennacer, Castillejo and Piatek.

All of them are expected to play in their natural position, except Duarte, who Pioli intends to field at right-back. Therefore, one would have to assume that the Rossoneri will play with a back-three when in possession, reverting back to a 4-3-3 when defending.

However, the Duarte change isn’t the only significant one. Bennacer will finally get the nod ahead of Biglia, while Castillejo comes in to replace Suso, who has been disappointing in recent weeks. Finally, Piatek is back to benching Leao, who has struggled in the box.
