GdS: Cardinale’s schedule while in Milan – first signing and then Maldini

RedBird Capital are closing in on the purchase of AC Milan for €1.3bn, which will see them become the majority owners of the club. In fact, the preliminary signings of the contracts will take place tomorrow, a report claims.

As was revealed by Corriere Della Sera this morning (read here), RedBird CEO Gerry Cardinale was in Milan last week as well and took part in the Scudetto celebrations. This week should be the defining one, with the signings expected.

Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews) point out that the actual closing will take a little bit longer, a couple of months, but that’s normal. Cardinale will arrive in Milan today and he will sign the contracts tomorrow, while the other days are dedicated to Paolo Maldini.

Maldini made it clear recently that he wants clarity on the future and that’s why Cardinale will have a meeting with him on Wednesday and Thursday. Cardinale will outline his plan for the club and that could also help unlock the market.

  1. Maldini and Massara must be untouchable. Anything less would be catastrophic.
Right now is a GREAT chance to build a very strong Milan team that could conquer everything in Italy and mainly in Europe.

    1. We also absolutely must buy an AMC and RW for the first team, the ones that guarantee assists and goals. We’ll see in a few months what we got.
